Section 42
Coordinating Committee Arrangements

(1) There will be a local coordination committee in each rural municipality and municipality for coordinating matters related to the protection of the rights and interests of persons with disabilities.
(2) The formation of the Coordination Committee shall be as follows:-
(a) Vice-Chairman or Deputy Head-Coordinator of Village Executive or City Executive (b) Women members appointed by the village executive or city executive from among the women members of the village executive or city executive - members
(c) Principals of secondary schools within rural villages and municipalities or persons designated by the chairman of the village executive or the head of the city executive from among resource persons - member
(d) A doctor of a local health post or hospital designated by the chairman of the village executive or the head of the city executive - member
(e) Head of the local police office - member
(f) A representative of the organization nominated by the chairman of the village executive or the head of the city executive from among the associations working at the local level in the field of the rights, interests and protection of persons with disabilities - member
(g) Three members, including one woman, nominated by the coordinating committee from among the disabled persons within the rural municipality and municipality. (h) Head of the office of the Nepal government and the provincial government at the local level to look into the relevant matters - member
(i) Village executive or city executive appointed by the vice president or deputy head of the village executive or city executive - member - secretary
(3) The term of office of the member nominated according to sub-section (2) shall be two years.
(4) If any member nominated according to sub-section (2) does not fulfill his official duties, the coordination committee may remove such member at any time.
(5) When a member is removed from office in accordance with sub-section (4), he shall be given a reasonable opportunity to submit an explanation.
